Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Forty Third Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 343 of Lexie's Chain. Last week the winner wasme wiv Moody Blues an Forever Autumn. Let's see wot we gots this week:

@maggietkat
Well done with Moody Blues and Forever Autumn. First song I thought of was by Frank Sinatra (dad's favorite) but it was such a draggy song (kinda like what we do with our bums). Then another one of Frank's songs had promise since this one is introspective like mom in autumn. So, here is my link, for those in the autumn of our lives, the Turtles and "It was a very good year".

@terenceterrier
Larst week cleva DJ pal Lexie winned da chainy wiv da linky "Forever Amber" singed by da Moody Blues. One of da lines in dis songy be "My life will be forever amber because you're not there". In dat case he be saying "she's not there". Obvious innit ! Dis be da title of a favrit songy by The Zombies "She's Not There". But I gonna give yoo da vershun by Santana as my linky cos I likes da geetar playing on it. I hopes yoo enjoys it too.

@skye613
Congrats, dear Lexie! The original for " Forever Autumn was written in 1969 by Jeff Wayne for a Lego commercial. This is a no brainer for me. Linky this week.... " Everything is Awesome " from the Lego movie.

@cloonfourmegan
Last week our lovely Lexie won with the Moody Blues and Forever Autumn. That song was in the musical version of War of the Worlds but what is war good for ... absolutely nothing!

@diamondbertie
Your choice of the Moody Blues singing Forever Autumn is a lovely song my choice is Kirsty MacColl singing Thank You For The Days, it catches the sense of loss.

@claptonterrier
last week’s winners were the Moody Blues…which sounds rather gloomy doesn’t it? Anyhoo, we have selected a band with a much more cheerful and colourful name this week…the RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS! And our selection is their song “Californication”.

An da winner as chosen by ............... me dad    ...................... dus be  ..............................  Skye wiv Everything Is Awesome by erm well some lego people.

Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Forty Second Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 342 of Lexie's Chain. Last week the winner was Megan wiv I Talk To The Trees by Clint Eastwood. Let's see wot we gots this week:

@maggietkat
Well done with Clint Eastwood croaking I talk to the trees. Eastwood's ability to sing has never been contested as not so good. I thought about other stars who can't sing. One of the most distinguished composer/singer is Leonard Cohen. Here he is growling out his most revered number, Hallelujah.

@diamondbertie
Last week Megan won with Clint Eastwood singing I Talk to the Trees from the film Paint Your Wagon. My choice is Rawhide from the film Blues Brothers. Why?  I remember Clint Eastwood in the western series Rawhide which the gripping theme hilariously reproduced in The Blues Brothers.

@claptopnterrier
Hello Miss LExie…last week our winner was a song by Clint Eastwood…he was a cowboy imagined by Hollywood…so this week our linky is a song about cowboys but this time imagined by Tin Pan Alley…or what ever the Los Angeles equivalent of Tin Pan Alley is…its “Desperado” by the Eagles.

@skye613
So today's linky is following Clint Eastwood. Sure didn't know that he was as accomplished as he was musically. Oscar nominations for several scores he wrote. But we are focusing on his directing skills. Eastwood directed the movie Jersey Boys. The film was an adaptation of the Broadway musical about the Four Seasons. Enjoy "Oh, What a Night".

@terenceterrier
Clever clogs Megan winned wiv da linky "I talk to the trees " sung by Clint Eastwood . Our furst memories of him woz when he woz da character Rowdy Yates in da TV series "Rawhide" . It started in 1959 n woz fillumed in Arizona. For my linky I going wiv a songy abowt annuva singing cowboy from Arizona wot woz released as a single in 1959. I pawroudly presents yoo wiv "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" by The Chipmunks. Go Alvin !

@djladylexie
I like trees. They dus give good shade in the summer an then in the autumn you can play in their leaves wot dus rustle an has little creatures living in em wot I can chase. Autumn is a lovely time of year init? So, here me favourtest song wot talks of autumn. It has always ad two meanins of course, the loss of someone you love.

@sonikebt
@CloonfourMegan's winning song last week was "I talk to the trees" sung by Clint Eastwood. This song comes from the musical Paint Your Wagon by Lerner & Lowe. Our link this week comes from Lerner & Lowe's first film adaptation, Brigadoon with a version sung by Frank Sinatra - "Almost like being in love.

An da winner as chosen by ............... Megan   ...................... dus be  .............................. oh pantaloons!! ..... is me again piffle! Dad choosin then oh dear he will be happy teehee.

Ere wot me Megan said: Wot a great range of linkys this week. Everyone do have had excellent finking caps on.  Mum do be big fan of musicals so was good to see a few of those. We does like cowboys too. But in the end we chose Linky 6 cos it be nearly autumn and we lubs trees and Moody Blues be Dad's favourite group!

Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Forty First Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 340 of Lexie's Chain. Last week the winner was Sonic an Spike wiv Dirty Harry from The Gorillaz. Let's see wot we gots this week:

@terenceterrier
Larst week our clever little pals win da chainy wiv "Dirty Harry" by Gorrillaz. Phewie so many opshuns  wiv dis! Afta much thought I decide on my my linky n I gives yoo "Adventure of a Lifetime" by Coldplay cos da offishul video haz lotsa gorillas dancing around in it.

@skye613
I think perhaps we've been living under a rock, had never heard of this band or tune. But Clint Eastwood made a phrase very popular! And Technotronic made it half of this tune. Enjoy!

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Sonic won wiv Gorillaz and Dirty Harry. Now this be about Clint Eastwood and the great man has been known to sing a bit as well. So we choose him singing I Talk To The Trees from Paint Your Wagon.

@maggietkat
Well done Sonic with Dirty Harry. I have a double link today. I went Dirty and found a movie "Dirty Deeds". I remembered the jewel "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC.

@djladylexie
Dirty Harry is Harry Callahan a fictional San Francisco police detective played by Clint Eastwood. Dirty Harry is known for his tough approach and of course his gun, the Magnum 44. All the movies were based in San Francisco wot is in California. So I'm goin wiv one of the best known songs bout california ... California Dreamin.

An da winner as chosen by ............... Sonic an Spike  ...................... dus be  .............................. Megan wiv I Talk To The Trees from Paint Your Wagon. Yay you on a roll me pal! You be choowsin next week.

Ere wot me Sonic an Spike dun said: Thanks for all the great linkies this week. We did not know that Clint could sing so for this reason have chosen Link 3.

So now is over to you. Email me: lex[dot]dogstovesky @ gmail.com or DM me on Monday 21st August 2017 (gets it to me by 10am UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Fortieth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 339 of Lexie's Chain. Last week the winner wasme wiv Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. Let's see wot we gots this week:

@claptonterrier
Hello Miss Lexie….last week our winner was Time after Time by Cindy Lauper…..this song featured at No.66 on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Pop Songs of All Time….so this week our linky is the song that was a whole ONE better than that….so at No. 65 on that list is the song “Just What I Needed” by The Cars…

@skye613
Woo Hoo, The DJ Lexie did win with the beautiful " Time After Time". Gonna stay with Time times Two! " Love Me Two Times" say the Doors!

@cloonfourmegan
Well last week you did win wiv Cindy Lauder and Time After Time. When mum was a girl she used to have a Sindy doll (different spelling but bear with me) which was a British version of Barbie. So we give you that great song Barbie Girl by Aqua!

@terenceterrier
Well dun Lexie wiv yor winning entry "Time After Time" by Cindi Lauper wot woz in da film "Strictly Ballroom".  Iz gonna go for a dubble linked linky dis week. First my linky be connected by da werd "Time" n secondly cos it also appeared in a movie picture fing too in dis case "Ziggy Stardust the Motion Picture". But pal Tucker ( bless his soul) taught me to seek out da bestest live vershun so Iz gonna go wiv David Bowie performing "Time" live from the Glass Spider Tour 1987. Or of corse yoo  could wotch n listen twice then yoo gets a triple linked linky cos yoo then have "Time" afta "Time" . *trying very hard ears*

@maggietkat
Well done Lexie with Cyndi Lauper has been an advocate for LGBTQ rights. She has also inspired many musicians. Identical twins Tegan and Sara are among those who have looked to Cyndi's musicianship and stance for LGBTQ . This is one of their relationship songs, Speak Slow.

@sonikebt
Well done Lexie with "Time after time" by Cyndi Lauper. The title of this song comes from  the 1979 science fiction movie of the same name. This inspired us to think of other songs named after movies and came up with "Dirty Harry" by Gorillaz. The video we have used is from the Demon Dayz Festival 2017 coz the humanz were there and technically feature singing in the chorus.....

An da winner as chosen by ............... me dad ...................... dus be  .............................. Sonic an Spike wiv Dirty Harry.

Ere wot me dad said: Hmm I choose Gorillaz but it was close with Bowie and Aqua close behind. *secretly loves Aqua* shhhh don't tell anyone.

So now is over to you. Email me: lex[dot]dogstovesky @ gmail.com or DM me on Monday 14th August 2017 (gets it to me by 10am UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Thirty Ninth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 339 of Lexie's Chain. Last week the winner was our very own El Tel wiv Bohemian Rhapsody from Queen . Let's see wot we gots this week:

@maggietkat
Well done Sir with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. It is such an intricate tune with layers of sound. One of the first bands to experiment with layers and many instruments was The Beach Boys. I think of Queen's number as searching for oneself and this Beach Boys song also describes Brian's feeling of alienation, "I wasn't made for these times".

@skye613
Congrats to Sir Terence. " Bohemian  Rhapsody " is considered progressive rock. Another of my fav groups is also considered progressive rock. My linky this week... "Bungle in the Jungle" Love Tull!

@cloonfourmegan
Well done Terence on winning last week with Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody. In that song they ask Can You Do the Fandango? Well no but I can do the mashed potato and I can do the twist just like in this song Do You Love Me now that I can dance from the great film Dirty Dancing.

djladylexie
Well done Tel. We loves Queen! Bohemian Rhapsody is one of our favrit songs. Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango? The fandango is a lively dance from Spain. Annuva dance from Spain dus be the Pasa Dobley which features in the movie Strictly Ballroom which is a very funyn filum. A song that we loves from that filum does be Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. So that's me linky!

An da winner as chosen by ............... Terence ...................... dus be blimey!! It's me! .............................. Me dad will make da decision!

Ere wot Tel said: After much consideration of da noms err linkies sent in by da chainers I haz decided to select *long pause * linky 4. Linky 3 n linky 4 followed da same rationale ( dat be a big werd for a terrier! ) but I on balance I prefers "Time After Time" by Cindi Lauper cos it be a purrty song even if da video had me completely confuzzled as to wot going on.

So now is over to you. Email me: lex[dot]dogstovesky @ gmail.com or DM me on Monday 7th August 2017 (gets it to me by 10am UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. So good idea to type DO NOT DELETE in the title and dussnt forget to send a linky to da video from You Tube!
