Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Sixty Eighth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 368 of Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Clapton wiph You're So Pretty. Let's see what we got this week:

@maggietkat
Well done Clapton with You're so Pretty. I thought that if we are all “yous”, then we all are pretty. If we are all Pretty, then we are all sisters/brothers. So, if we are all sisters/brothers, then we are all family. My link is Sister Sledge with “We Are Family”.

@skye613
Congrats Sir Clapton! You were looking for manners. Some are born pretty and some are Born This Way! Enjoy!

@terenceterrier
Larst week Sir Clapton zipped into da lead on da chainy win list wiv "You're so pretty " by The Charlatans. I guess dat means they were all pretty things.  So for my linky I gonna go wiv "Oh you pretty things" by David Bowie. It is on da Hunky Dory album but I going wiv da live version recorded at da BBC . Dis woz da week before he dyed his hair red n turned into da pretty fing wot woz Ziggy Stardust.

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Clapton won (yet again) with The Charlatans and You’re so pretty. Charlatans got us thinking about fakes and fake bands. Of course there was Spinal Tap but predating that was the film about the Rutles who were not not the Beatles and here they are with I Must Be In Love.

@limeoscar
So last week the suave, well-mannered Clapton gave us You’re So Pretty.  Well, as every good Kingsman knows, “Manners maketh man”, so this week our linky does be Lynyrd Skynyrd with "Free Bird", featured in the first film, although not on the soundtrack.  Seems kinda appropriate when the Posse has just lost one of its very own legends who now runs free as a bird OTRB.

@djladylexie
Clappers win again! No spoon for you hehe. So .... you're so pretty. Hmmm pretty what?  ..... vacant!

@sonikebt
Well done Clapton with You're So Pretty from The charlatans. The Charlatans were part of britpop and we have chosen our favourite song from that genre for this week's link Song 2 by Blur.

An da winner ............ as chosened by Clapton  ..................... dus be ............................... Megan! Yay well done me pal! You choosin next week.

Ere wot CT said: Hello Miss Lexie…..we have a pile of very good links again this week I see…..but I think someone is getting to know how to press the buttons here at BT HQ….we are always suckers for the Beatles and so the perfect parody that is The Rutles “I Must Be In Love” is our choice this week…its genius

Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Sixty Seventh Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 367 of Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Maggie wiph Born To Be Wild, Steppenwolf. Let's see what we got this week:

@skye613
"Born To Be Wild" became the anthem for motorcycle fanatics and for the unbridled joy of riding a bike. Harley Davidson cycles have adopted this as their motto!   " Live to Ride Ride to Live."  My linky this week Twisted Sister. " " Ride to Live Live to Ride!"

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Maggie dud win wiv great biker song Born to be Wild. This was originally written by the fantastically named Mars Bonfire! We likes another singer called Mars but it be in his surname so we picks Bruno Mars and The Way You Are.

@claptonterrier
last week our winner was born to be wild…ahem….I think I am far too polite to be considered wild so this week I have been looking for a song about good manners…and so this week my linky is “You’re so pretty"….by the Charlatans….

@terenceterrier
Larst week Miss Maggie put her name on da scoresheet wiv "Born to be wild" . If yooz born to be wild yoo be a wild one. Dat be good anipal logic I fink. So for my linky I chooses " Real Wild Child ( Wild One ) " by Iggy Pop.

@limeoscar
Oh Maggiekat what are you doing to us with the great Born to be Wild, evocative of driving down the highway with the wind through our fur! Except we don’t really have the open highways here, rather the open moors, which puts me more in mind of Kate Bush as she sings of Heathcliffe in Wuthering Heights, so this does be our linky.

@sonikebt
Last weeks winning song was “Easy Rider” by Steppenwolf as chosen by @MaggieTKat. This scene from Easy Rider was used by the Coen Brothers to advertise a Mercedes at the Superbowl in 2017. So this week as our link we have chosen a song used by the Coen Brothers in The Big Lebowski “The Man In Me” by Bob Dylan.

@djladylexie
Born To Be Wild was a Steppenwolf hit. Steppenwolf got their name from the novel Der Steppenwolf wot  was written by Hermann Hesse. The novel got it's name from the steppe wolf. So, me linky is wolf songs and here is one from da eighties Duran Duran, Hungry Like The Wolf.

An da winner ............ as chosened by Maggie ..................... dus be ............................... Clapton! Yay well done me pal! You choosin next week.

Ere wot Maggie said: Great links all eclectic like me! I chose “You’re so pretty"….by the Charlatans. I liked the singer's Flying Burrito Brothers shirt, interesting tune but I don’t think the song is about prim and proper, um, stuff.

So now is over to you. Email me: lex[dot]dogstovesky @ gmail.com or DM me on 19th February 2018 (gets it to me by 10am UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. So good idea to type DO NOT DELETE in the title and dussnt forget to send a linky to da video from You Tube!

Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Sixty Sixth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 366 of  Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Clapton wiph Meatloaf and Bat Out Of Hell. Let's see what we got this week:

@maggietkat
Well done Clapton with Meat Loaf doing Bat Out of Hell. When I think of Meat Loaf, I picture him as Eddie with motorcycle in the Rocky Horror Picture Show movie. And when I think of motorcycles I think of the movie “Easy Rider” and the opening song “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf.

@terenceterrier
Larst week Sir Clapton win da chainy wiv " Bat Out Of Hell " by Meatloaf. I fink I read dis be a popular fud in Merrica wiv da president. A nom wot peeps eat if dey dussnt be able to afford expensive fud be spam. So for my linky I gonna give yoo da Spam song wot be sung by da Viking hordes in da Monty Python's Flying Circus Spam sketch in da cafe.

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Sir Clapton won wiv Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf. We does like some meatloaf for supper but we does also like a loaf for breakfast and what better way to eat it than a little bit of toast.

@skye613
Congrats Sir Clapton. " Bat out of Hell" was Mom's go to song back in the day.... She would turn it way up & get ready to go out on the town! Nowadays she dances with the vacuum cleaner to " Cheap Thrills" and a wild time is had by all!

An da winner ............ as chosened by me dad on behalf of CT wot dus be on holibobs .... due be ..................... Maggie wiv Born To Be Wild. Yay well done me pal! You choosin next week.

So now is over to you. Email me: lex[dot]dogstovesky @ gmail.com or DM me on 12th February 2018 (gets it to me by 10am UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. So good idea to type DO NOT DELETE in the title and dussnt forget to send a linky to da video from You Tube!

Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Sixty Fifth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 365 of  Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Megan wiph Fat Sam's Grand Slam from Bugsy Malone. Let's see what we got this week:

@claptonterrier
Hello Miss Lexie….last week our winner was Fat Sam’s Grand Small….now I believe that a grand slam is a baseball term for when a batter hits the ball a long way and allows three of his teammates on base to also score runs…so scoring four runs in all with one big hit…well talking of the larger gentleman who is keen to see something leaving at high speed our linky this week is Meatloaf’s Bat out of Hell!

@maggietkat
Well done Megan with Fat Sam's. Fat Sam’s is a hangout for all kinds of folks. I thought about places to hangout with those you love. My mind went to warm places during the winter. I chose “Kokomo” recorded by The Beach Boys.

@terenceterrier
Larst week Dame Megan give us Fat Sam. I gonna do da opposite n give yoo Thin Lizzy. Da record I choose be "Whiskey in the Jar" . Dey be an Irish group n dis be an old Irish folk song. I fink Bugsey Malone woz descended from Irish peeps wiv a name like dat.

@djladylexie
Well done Meggy wiv dat one. Bugsy Malone was played by Scott Baio. He also appeared in Happy Days as Chachi. So me gonna give you dat song from Happy Days .... err ... well Happy Days! Coz we all like a happy song. Are you ready? Sunday, Monday ...... Happy Days .........

An da winner as chosened by ..... Megan .......... dus be ................................... Clapton! Yay! Well done CT, you be choosin next time.

Ere wot Megan said: A few but high quality Linkys. Me and Mum does like them all but I be most concerned wiv Mum’s education and she actually didn’t know what a Grand Slam was *paw to head* and I does love a bit of Meatloaf so it’s Linky No 1 for us ... Like A Bat Out of Hell !*revs bike
