@diamondbertie
The erudite @ClaptonTerrier won last week with I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2. This was also performed with Bruce Springsteen. My choice is Dancing in The Dark by Bruce Springsteen Why? Because you will never find what you're looking for by "dancing in the dark" ... Or who knows perhaps you might.

@maggietkat
Well Done Clapton with Still Haven't found what I'm looking for. At some point when you realize you may never find it, you walk along "The Boulevard of Broken Dreams". This was written in 1933 and the version is a duet by Tony Bennett and Sting.

@bunnersandharvs

Lexie's Chain: The Two Hundred and Sixteenth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 215 of #lexieschain. Last week the winner was Kelso wiv Needles n Pins from The Searchers. Let's see wot we gots dis week! Just so you knows mum n dad in beefa next week so might be some delays!

@wotterface
Last weeks winner was Kelso (Again!) with a song by The Searchers called Needles and Pins. You certainly don't want to lose your needles and pins as they're very hard to find and you'd have to be a good Searcher to find them (get it?!) Finding them is very hard, in fact, it would be like looking for a Needle in a Haystack.

@diamondbertie
The clever @kelsoterrier won last week with the Searchers singing Needles and Pins , I choose for my link Spike Jones and the City Slickers singing Chloe, the words are the link as he is searching for this "Chloe".

@terenceterrier

Dis week da linky fair wizzed into my head straight away. Da winning linky larst week woz “Needles and Pins” by The Searchers. Wot do da Searchers do I arsked myself. Dey go searchin for fings of corse. So my linky be “Searchin” by The Coasters.

@borderpup
Last week that clever Kelso chap won (again!) wiv Needles & Pins, so we fort hmm, pins and needles is somefing you get if you fall asleep on your arm or leg, then you can't get back to sleep again. So, our linky is 'I need some sleep' by Eels.

@djladylexie
Needles and pins .. If you like makin dresses and wot not out of material you use pins to well, pin things and needles to sew things like when you make clothes. People wear clothes because they don't look good naked and get a bit cold.  Some people wear clothes because they like fashion. Fashion is where people wear things that other people tell them are fash-on-able even if they are not. Like bell bottoms. Bell bottom were stupid trousers that made you fall over. Some people wore bell bottom trousers and jeans in the 70's, they were ok as long as they didn't run for a bus. My linky does be a tribute to all those jeans and trousers that are forgotten in the mists of time. I give you Derek and the Dominoes and Bell Bottom Blues.

@claptonterrier
Kelso won with a song by the Searchers….that is a very old group that still performs in one line-up or the other …in fact this weekend they are playing at Butlins in Bognor Regis!! (thank dogness for Google)…so that must mean that they still haven’t found what they’re looking for….I have the perfect song for them….U2 and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking for….BOl…see what i did there?

@skye613
The kelso pup be rolling up da LexiesChainy ! So I be searching , searching the songs & I be thinkin' of what to chose . I got needles and pretty pins ah. I use the pins ah with ma silver thread. Just couldn't pass these 3 icons up!

Lexie's Chain: The Two Hundred and Fifteenth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 215 of #lexieschain. Last week the winner was Terence Terrier wiv Bill Oddie and The Knitting Song. Let's see wot we gots dis week!

@claptonterrier
Last week  Terence won with a song about knitting…knitting is a very fine hobby to have…but the hobby which I like to indulge in is riding my bike…so this week my choice is “Bicycle Race” by Queen…

@bunnersandharvs
So den a big well dun to dat Ter fur his linky last week with Bill Oddie's Knitting Song. We thorts about knitting and said if you knit one you purl one too so dat gots us thinking also dat if you knits you has to keep things even too so our linky Easy Flow by Pearl Jam gets it?  BOL! Have fun chooosin Terence!

@skye613
OMD! What a week. I don't knit, don't sew , nope don't crochet. Now I do nap quite a bit!
Have fun Terence! I be " Dream Weaving".

@maggietkat
Well done with the wonderfully campy Knitting Song! You can knit booties, knit a sweater, or even knit a community together. If ever a town needed some kindness, it is Ferguson, Missouri. So, here's to knitting Ferguson together, Curtis Mayfield and the impressions singing their civil rights anthem, "People Get Ready".

@borderpup
Terence was right - we'd never heard The Knitting song before! It was funny and took mum back to when Bill Oddie was in The Goodies. She used to watch them every week! They invented the noble Lancastrian art of Ecky Thump, which caught on in playgrounds around the land. Jack White was a fan and his band The White Stripes made an album called Icky Thump, changing the name a bit for American audiences. Jack was an upholsterer before becoming a musician and my favourite piece of upholstery is the bed, so we bring you Black Coffee in Bed by Squeeze.

@kelsoterrier
The knitting song? Never heard of it before and trying to find a link this week was like looking for a "knitting" needle in a haystack. It would be even harder to find a pin though, you'd be searching forever! Which leads me to my link of The Searchers - Needles & Pins.

@diamondbertie
That clever @terenceterrier won last week with The knitting Song by Bill Oddie.
Yes he is right I never heard of it, but it made me smile,  I first noticed Bill in The Goodies I have to say for my link has the be The Funky Gibbon by The Goodies.

@wotterface
Last weeks winner was T, with Bill Oddie and The Knitting Song. Mr Oddie is a well known nature enthusiast and presented programmes like springwatch. It'll soon be spring and all the birds and the bees will be flying about doing birds and bee stuff. So I've chosen "Beeswing" by The Futureheads as my link this week.

@djladylexie
Well ecky thump it's Bill Oddie wiv da Knitting Song. Who knew! Our linky dis week dus be Erotica by Madonna! What the? I hear you say. Well, believe it or not, is becoz of  famous misheard lyrics. In the song Erotica, Madge sings Erotic Erotic, Put Your Hands All Over My Body. What she actually singed was Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, Put Your Hands All Over My Body! BOLBOL. That me linky: Erotica, Madonna.

So the winner as chosen by @terenceterrier dus be ......... @kelsoterrier. Blimey! Again! Pffttt we'll have to call it kelso's chain soon :) Well done Kelso me pal. Next week is you.

Ere wot Terence said: Whoo hoo some clever linkies to follow on. But I chooses linky number 6. Da fact I can sing all day werds by heart haz absolutely nuffin to do wiv it.

So it's over to you. Email me: lexie at toxicpenguin dot com or DM me on twitter (@dogstoyevsky) wiv your link suggestion followin on from dis one! Lexie's Chain: The Two Hundred and Fourteenth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 214 of #lexieschain. Last week the winner was Clapton Terrier wiv John Grant's Sigourney Weaver. Let's see wot we gots dis week!

@diamondbertie
At last @claptonterrier won with John Grant's  Sigourney Weaver, this is about aliens. My chosen link is also about aliens "martians"  so Jeff Waynes The War of the Worlds - The Eve of the War.

@wotterface
Last week's chain from Clapton was about an actor, Sigourney Weaver. So my link this week is a song BY an actor (amongst other things). It's Jared Leto and 30 Seconds To Mars with Up In The Air.

@terenceterrier
Larst week our little pal winned wiv “Sigourney Weaver” by John Grant. *finks hard* If yoo iz a weaver yoo makes blankies n fings on a loom wiv wool. Yoo can also use wool for knittin.  Our little pal Clapton iz made of knittin. So for my linky i gives yoo “The Knitting Song” by Bill Oddie  (betcha most pals neva heard dis one before ! )

@maggietkat
Well done with john grant and Signorey Weaver. The lyrics mention Twilight Zone and talks about vampires. This reminds me of a song by the Manhattan Transfer, Twilight Tone which has a girl with a third eye.

@skye613
Last week Sir Clapton won with " Sigourney Weaver " by John Grant. This got me thinking of the actress. Turns out her first acting role in a major film was as a minor character in Annie Hall in 1977. There was very little music in this film but there was a cover of Savoy Brown's "A Hard Way To Go".

@djladylexie
Signourney Waver by John Grant. In da song he dus also menshuns Winona Ryder and the vampire movie wot dus be called Dracula. Annie Lennox sang a song wot was in the movie called Song For A Vampire. So we goes wiv Song For A Vampire … Annie Lennox.

So the winner as chosen by @claptonterrier dus be ......... @terenceterrier. Yay! Well done Tel me pal. Next week is you.

Ere wot CT said: Well Miss Lexie…what an extremely difficult choice to make this week even though we only have six entries. We did think about choosing the Savoy Brown song because of the syncopated drumming or the Annie Lennox song because of the lovely singing but in the end we have plumped for…*ahem*…the entirely unbiased choice of Bill Oddie’s Knitting Song…its a very much over-looked issue if you ask me…can you imagine a world in which the Beatle’s record label put out songs like this? Good gracious…

So it's over to you. Email me: lexie at toxicpenguin dot com or DM me on twitter (@dogstoyevsky) wiv your link suggestion followin on from dis one! You has until 15th March 2015 (gets it to me by 2pm UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. So good idea to type DO NOT DELETE in the title and dussnt forget to send a linky to da video from You Tube!

Lexie's Chain dus be inspired by da pawsome Radcliffe & Maconie Show wot you can has a listen to on dere website. Follow me @dogstoyevsky or #lexieschain on Twitter to join da fun. Remember anyfink goes! Rock, classical, opera, ballads, punk, reggae - is up to you! Fanx for playin!

Lexie's Chain: The Two Hundred and Thirteenth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 213 of #lexieschain. Last week the winner was Kelso wiv A View To A Kill by Duran Duran. Let's see what we go this week:

@wotterface
A View to a Kill was a classic 80's Bond Theme. Another classic 80's Bond theme was The Living Daylights by A-Ha. A-Ha also did the classic Take On Me (not a bond theme) of which one of our favourite cover versions is by Punk ska band Reel Big Fish. So this is Reel Big Fish with Take On Me...

@borderpup
So, to follow on from 'A View to a Kill' (with something other than what I fink when I see those pesky squizzles) ... Well, a sniper would need a good view to hit his target. A good film about an assassin is 'The Day of the Jackal', about an attempt to assassinate President deGaulle, but I'm not going down that route, oh no. The film starred Mr Edward Fox (pesky foxes, grr) and it is Winter - though Spring officially starts today, I know, bear with - and so my choice is White Winter Hymnal by Fleet Foxes.

@terenceterrier
Larst week’s winning linky woz “ A view to a kill “ by Duran Duran. We dun our homewerk and da Bond fillum wot da songy come from woz abowt an investigation of a horsey racing scam. Next week is da Cheltenham Festial wot be a big event for da hosses wot jump fings. Kauto Star woz a famuss steeplechaser wot won lots at da Festival n had a song ritted abowt him. So for my linky I gives yoo “Kauto Star” by Mark Boylan.

@maggietkat
Well done with Duran Duran! The View to a Kill was the theme for a James Bond movie of the same name. I decided to stay in the thriller genre for my link, "Harlem Nocturne". It was the theme for the Mike Hammer detective TV show. It was also used in the 1983 cult movie "Christine", the version by the Viscounts which is my choice for the week.

@claptonterrier
Hello Miss Lexie…last week Mr Kelso chose a song by Duran Duran…they were famously named after a character in the sic-fi movie Barbarella….that made us think about other heroins in Sci Fi and of course we thought of Ripley from the Alien movies played by Sigourney Weaver….so this week our link is the beautiful “Sigourney Weaver” by John Grant…

@skye613
Congrats pal & have fun picking this week. So was looking at all the great artists who have song Bond themes. One of my favorites is Tina Turner who also sang the theme of another series of movies. But thinking she may have been wrong cause we sure could use one. " We Don't Need Another Hero".

@djladylexie
A View To a Kill sung by Duran Duran was from the movie called A View To A Kill wiv James Bond where yet another mad 'want to take over the world' type character aims to destroy Silicon Valley.  Annuva man wot wanted to take over the world was Dr Evil.His nemesis was Austin Powers, The Spy Who Shagged Me pokes fun at James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me. In the Spy Who Shagged Me Austin's wife is turned into a large-boobed fembot by Dr Evil. She tries to kill Austin, then self destructs. We are choosing a song from da movie wot is Beautiful Stranger from Madonna as our linky.

@diamondbertie
My choice is Nancy Sinatra with Bang Bang. It i in keeping the theme of death and killing.

So the winner as chosen by @kelsoterrier dus be ......... @claptonterrier. Yay! Well done me pal. Next week is you.

Ere wot Kelso said: Oh man it's so difficult this week.  Linky 1 is definitely my favourite song of the bunch but, for me, Linky 5 just edges the link of the week so Linky 5 is the winner :-)

So it's over to you. Email me: lexie at toxicpenguin dot com or DM me on twitter (@dogstoyevsky) wiv your link suggestion followin on from dis one! You has until 8th March 2015 (gets it to me by 2pm UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. So good idea to type DO NOT DELETE in the title and dussnt forget to send a linky to da video from You Tube!
