Lexie's Chain: The Two Hundred and Fifty Ninth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 259 of #lexieschain. Last week the winner was Skye wiv Hey Ho from the Lumineers. Let's see what we got this week.

@izzy_border
So Skye won with the  Lumineers 'Ho Hey' last week. Out of respect for the great David Bowie Mum wanted to find a link with the Lumineers.  Now I happen to know dat the Lumineers began to play together in New Jersey and Wesley Shultz lived and worked in Brooklyn and New York  - which is where Bowie lived and died. I did tell mum and she said that's a good link! Mum has chosen her favourite Bowie song 'Starman' because my hoobruv sings a bit and this was the first song he sang for people when he was 5.

@maggietkat
Well done Skye with Ho Hey. I recognized the song immediately as the closer for the tv show Hart of Dixie. One of the leading men is also a singer. He sang a couple times on the show and had a fair voice. Here is Pretend by Scott Parker and the Glory Dogs.

@terenceterrier
Larst week pal Skye winned wiv The Lumineers n “Ho Hey” . Dis woz released in 2012. In da same year da Olympics were held in London n da British team came owt to da David Bowie songy “Heroes” . You will always be our hero Bowie not just for one day. Remember pals “They never die, they just go to sleep one day”. My good pal Tucker will be delighted to meet Bowie OTRB. Tucker always luvved a live vershun of a linky so here it is.

@wotterface
So last week's winner was the Lumineers with Ho Hey. There was only one song we could choose this week and it's from a band that the Lumineers remind us of so that suits us fine as our link. But ultimately it let us choose Arcade Fire and David Bowie with Wake Up. X

@claptonterrier
Hello Miss Lexie…last week Miss Skye chose a song by the Lumineers….I can only assume that their name means they go around lighting lights…..but sometimes there are things that don’t want to be out in the light…and so our linky this week is “Dark End of the Street” ..a song about stolen love….and we have chosen a version by Percy Sledge…

@cloonfourmegan
Well done Skye on winning last week. We couldn't see the bloggy on da website and we forgot wot Skye won wiv. So... we just pick Mum's favourite David Bowie song which remind her of being a student under the moonlight the serious moonlight.

@djladylexie
Skye won wiv Hey Ho by the Lumineers. First we had Hoots Mon. Hoots meanin Hey. Then we had Hey Ho. Hi Ho is what the dwarves sing when they is off to work. Dwarves are a mythical race of short stocky creatures wot are good at mining. Dwarves are also known as gnomes wot are known for their gardening skills and comic approach to life. They laugh a lot apparently. Hahaha, hehehe they go all day long. Well, David Bowie knew all about that when he wrote the Laughing Gnome so that's my linky!
