Hello Miss Lexie…i see that Dexy’s Midnight Runners was the winning link last week….they were lead by a man called Kevin Rowland…but he is not the only famous singing Roland…oh no…there is also Roland Rat….so this week our link is Rat Rapping….sorry about that…oh dear.

Well done Terence with "Come on Eileen" by Dexie's Midnight Runners.  I have a double link for you today! Come on Eileen was a one hit wonder from the 80's and a graduate school fave. (Picture many geeks doing the arm pumps.) As we found out, Dexie's is a dru-uhh. The other 80's one hit wonder fave was "Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats. The village reminds me of Hieronymus Bosch paintings. Of course, ergot mold produces a hallucinogen which grew on wheat for bread making which Bosch undoubtedly partook. (picture Geeks practicing the overhead arm swing).

The winning song from last week, "Come on Eileen" is about Kevin Rowland's first love/lust. Our choice this week takes a slightly more innocent view of first love in "The Garden Rules" by Snow Patrol.

Dexy's had quite a few hit singles includin Jackie Wilson Said. I'm in heaven when you smile. The original song was recorded by Van Morrison. Continuing wiv da feme of men in love wiv women so we go wiv Brown Eyed Girl from Van Morrison.
