@I_am_Fuzzy chose Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division. Why? Their singer Ian Curtis was born exactly 10 years after Linda Ronstadt.

@fizzlebear chose She Bangs The Drum by The Stone Roses Why? From Stone Poneys to Stone Roses and I'm sure it's a different drum she's banging!!

@bvfeyj (Tucker) chose Doctor, My Eyes by Jackson Browne. Why? Cuz he toured wif Linda Ronstadt and Joni Mitchell when he was promoting da album Jackson Browne dat da song was from and Linda Ronstadt recorded some ob his songs for her albums. Also it was his first major hit dat he recorded like Different Drum was for Linda Ronstadt.

@diamondbertie chose Those Were The Days by Mary Hopkins Why? Coz of somfink I said bout the linky last week.

@kelsoterrier chose Distant Drums by Jim Reeves. Why? Because of the obvious similarity of the song titles and also because Linda Ronstadt and Jim Reeves also had other similar sounding hit singles with Bill Bayou (Jim Reeves) and Blue Bayou (Linda Ronstadt).

@borderpup chose a stonking great hit! Hotel California by the Eagles. Why? Because, like Linda Ronstadt who sang with the Stone Poneys, they started their career at the Troubador Club in LA. Simples. ;-)

so da the winner ...... as chosen by @bffeyj (Tucker) and suggested by ...... @fizzlebear ....... is ........ She Bangs The Drum by The Stone Roses! Yay!! Well done ma pal!
