@Tartan_Terriers chose Chain Gang by Sam Cooke. Why? Because what is a chain gang? A chain of Men at Work!
@Oz_theTerrier chose Johnny B.Goode by Chuck Berry. Why? Down Under on Business as Usual album; another track on the Men At Work album is Be Good Johnny a reference to my link.
@bvfeyj chose Tie Me Kangaroo Down by Rolf Harris. Why? Because it about a
stockman (dat a man at work) an is also about da land down under an it hab koalas (like da Men At Work bideo) kangaroos an platypuses, ducks an ober Australian stuff like dat. Besides it funny and make mom laugh.
@RettetKaninchen chose Michael by Franz Ferdinand. Why? Because Men at Work stole the flute riff of the Australian childrens song "Kookaburra". In 2010, an Australian primary school director Garry Martin wanted to replace "gay your life must be" with "fun your life must be." - But that gained protest of gay and lesbian groups... So that links to one of the most homoerotic songs ever. ;)("gay your life must be" is a line of the children's song Kookaburra).
@Millie_Dog chose Musclebound by Spandau Ballet. Why? Because the group Men
at Work got their name after one of them saw men working on a building site. Men working on building sites develop strong muscles. Also this was released in the same year as Down Under by Men at Work.
@I_Am_Fuzzy also chose Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport by Rolf Harris. Why? It's a classic from down under heehee!
@Marleyterrier chose The Only Living Boy in New York (The Simon & Garfunkel Story). Why? Colin Hay from Men At Work starred in 3 epsiodes of tv series "Scrubs" which starred actor Zach Braff who produced and starred in da movie Garden State and was
awarded a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for a Motion Picture for his
work on the soundtrack album ...and dis be our favourite song from da soundtracks.
And the winner ...... as chosen by @Kelsoterrier and suggested by ...... @Oz_theTerrier ....... is ........ Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry!
The year: 1958
The song: Johnny B. Goode
Artist: Chuck Berry
