@thisbear: Joy Division Oven Gloves by Half Man Half Biscuit cos they'd be useful for taking your pot of jubalaya off the stove ;o)

@kelsoterrier: My choice is Swamp Thing by The Grid. Why because a Bayou is similar to a swamp and jambalaya kinda looks like a swamp ;-)

@tartan_terriers : In the air tonight by Phil Collins cos Karen Carpenter and Phil Collins were/are both very talented vocalists and drummers.

@borderpup: In Private by Dusty Springfield and the Pet Shop Boys.  Why? Because Burt Bacharach wrote songs wot were hits for the Carpenters, and Dusty also had hits wiv some of his songs.  Oh, and mum is a Dusty fan!

My entry dis week iz Knockin' on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan. Coz The Belle Stars' cover of Iko Iko was in a film called Knockin' on Heaven's Door. And also because The Grateful Dead have covered both Iko Iko and Knockin' on Heven's Door.

@diamondbertie
Iko Iko is a song of the Bayou, Louisiana my spontaneous response is Jambalaya by the Carpenters it's the food of the Bayou and a great song.

@marleyterrier
New Orleans Jazz Vipers wi Hope You're Comin' Back. This do be cos Iko Iko did recently feature in brilliunt new series "Treme" about New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and dat song in it 2.

@rettetkaninchen
Salt 'N' Pepa with Expression. Why? This is a song about partying and Mardi Gras and having a good time too. And the band are three woman like the Dixie Cups.

My entry for this week is Acapella by Kelis. Why? Coz Don't Worry, Be Happy became the first a cappella song to reach number one on the
Billboard Hot 100 chart.

@borderpup
Dis week I choose 'Eloise' by The Damned.  Why?  becos Captain Sensible had a solo hit wiv 'Happy Talk' , and Eloise was a big hit for his group, who were The Damned.

I went for dis song. It was in da movie Cocktail wiv Tom Cruise who also starred in da movie Rain Man in da same year. Song from dat movie is Iko Iko wot dus be Mardias Gras song wot makes people happy!
