Hello Miss Lexie…last week our winner was a song by the band Fine Young Cannibals…oh dear…I don’t think there could be anything fine about cannibalism…I have a preference for less challenging food…in fact I quite like just siting in front of the TV with my dinner on my lap…perhaps some nice lamb kibble…so this week my linky is TV Dinners by ZZ Top….yum….oh, and when we play ed the video there was a long musical advert at the start,…that is NOT our link.

Well done Lexi with Clapton's beautiful ballad Wonderful Tonight.  Back in 1988, Dire Straits asked Eric to play back up for the celebration of Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday. At that concert The band played a surprise version of Eric's ballad. I chose a Dire Straits number from that 1988 Wembly concert, "Walk of Life".

Well done Clapton with fleetwood Mac and Songbird. George Martin died this week, so I couldn't help but think about another bird, Blackbird sung by Paul McCartney and the Beatles.

Last week Clapton won with Songbird written and sung by Christine McVitie. Songbird was also the title of the album and sung by Eva Cassidy. She also famously sang Fields of Gold on that album and we pick that lovely song sung by the very lovely Mr Sting.

Last week @claptonterrier won with the great choice Songbird sung by Christine McVie, a lovely song, not heard it before, thank you. My choice this week is Bob Marley singing Three Little Birds my reason is the "bird" connection I know a bit thin but I love it his song, this was used to great effect in the film Legend.

hello Miss Lexie…last week Miss Maggie chose a song by Ry Cooder…that made us think of the book Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger….there have been many songs inspired by that book and the one we have chosen is We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel which mentions the title of the book in one of the early verses…listen closely! Last weeks winner was Ry Cooder and Get Rhythm. Now straight away mum found herself fixed on the word Rhythm and making the connection with Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings. Bill Wyman was the bass player with the Rolling Stones so really it has to be a Stones song. Both hoomans have loved one song in particular since they met nearly 25 years ago so it can only be Angie.

last week Lady Briar won with a song by Peter Gabriel…..we know that Mr Gabriel was once in a band called Genesis…..Genesis is the first book in The Bible…and the first words that God spoke in the Bible were “let there be light”…and so our link this week is “Ray of Light” by Madonna….*dancing paws*

Dr Remmy wuz luvd in Tanzania fer his music, his compassion n belief in human rights fer all, his funeral in 2010 wuz a national event. So, last weeks winner was Peter Gabriel with his amazing video for Sledgehammer. Peter Gabriel once did a song with The wonderful Kate Bush where they just cuddled for ages.
