Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Eighty First Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 381 of Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Terence wiv South Eastern Guide Dogs and Trust Me Baby. Let's see what we got this week:

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Sir Terence did win with the great Trust Me Baby by South Eastern Guide Dogs. This was sung to the tune of Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson. She also appeared in Grease Live on tv in 2016 as Frenchy in the Pink Ladies. So we choose the song that is sung to Frenchy in the original movie Beauty School Drop Out by Frankie Avalon

@djladylexie
Last week was Terence with Trust Me Baby by South Eastern Guide Dogs. Lovely choice. Hmmm well let me fink, guide dogs are for blind and partially sighted people to help them when they is out walkin around and going places. Other blind people use white canes rather than have a dog. Some blind people don't have either. One such person is Stevie Wonder. So me song is gonna be a Stevie Wonder number wot be the linky to guide dogs and blindness.  Dis one of me favourites. Love's In Need Of Love Today.

@sonikebt
Well done Sir Tel for winning with “Trust Me Baby" by Southeastern Guide Dogs. This song is about the lovely dogs who help guide their humans. This made me think about the other senses - touch, smell, taste and hearing as inspiration for a song. So our link this week is “Smells like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana

An da winner ............ as chosened by Terence ..................... dus be ..............................  Megan!  Yay!

Ere wot me Tel said: Just 3 entries dis week wot make me sad cos it duss be my 7th Twitta  anniversary n I decided to send a  pressie to all da #lexieschain entrants dis week as a momento. ( DM me yor addresses pawleaze). Anyhows I evaluate da entries in terms of linky cleverness n lovely song value n chooses linky numba 1 wot be Frankie Avalon singing "Beauty School Drop Out ".

So now is over to you. Email me: lex[dot]dogstovesky @ gmail.com or DM me by 29th May 2018 (ges it to me by 10am UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. So good idea to type DO NOT DELETE in the title and dussnt forget to send a linky to da video from You Tube!

Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Eightieth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 380 of Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Clapton wiv Thomas Dolby Blinded Me Wiph Science. Let's see what we got this week:

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Clapton won wiv Thomas Dolby Blinded by Science. What’s the opposite of science? Faith. You can be blinded by both. In a good way.  So we pick Stormzy and Blinded by Your Grace.

@terenceterrier
Larst week our little woolly pal Sir C did win wiv "She Blinded Me With Science" . Well if you're blinded you're gonna need a guide dog. So wivowt more ado I gives yoo "Trust Me Baby" by Southeastern Guide Dogs.

@djladylexie
That song has got Magnus Pyke in it. Magnus Pyke was a scientist an famuss radio/tv personality. A pike (spelt differently of course) is also a fish. There's a song about pike (yes reallY). Dats me linky.

@sonikebt
Sir Clapton’s winning song was “She Blinded Me With Science” by Thomas Dolby. The American engineer Ray Dolby invented the noise reduction system called Dolby NR. Ray Dolby had two sons one of whom is also called Tom Dolby. Tom is a filmmaker and his company produced Luca Guadagnino’s (in our view) beautiful film “Call Me By Your Name”. Sufjan Stevens contributed 3 songs to the soundtrack including “Mystery of Love”.

@maggietkat
Well done Clapton with “she blinded me with Science.”  I am using “blind” as my link. The first thing I thought of was the band Blind Faith and their number “Can't find my way home.”  A double link!

An da winner ............ as chosened by Clapton ..................... dus be ..............................  Tel! Nice one Tel!So you dus be choosin next week me pal.

Ere wot me Clapton said: Hello Miss Lexie. We have been having some fun listening to this week’s entries. The ads have obviously been giving it a lot of thought. Anyhoo, our winner this week is linky 2 by the Southeastern Guide Dogs. A very touching song about these lovely doggies and quite close to my heart after dragging TT around on his lead the last few weeks after his eye op. Woof

So now is over to you. Email me: lex[dot]dogstovesky @ gmail.com or DM me by 22nd May 2018 (ges it to me by 10am UK time if poss). Oh sometimes I dus accidentally delete em! Heehee. So good idea to type DO NOT DELETE in the title and dussnt forget to send a linky to da video from You Tube!

Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Seventy Ninth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 379 of Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Tel wiph Bohemian Gravity. Let's see what we got dis week:

@diamondbertie
Terence you clever little fellow winning with something I’d never heard of, Bohemian Gravity I had to go for what my mind swung to the theme of 2001 A Space Odyssey.

@claptonterrier
This week I am lodging a complaint…..two weeks ago we have hard chemistry to think about and now we have got to wrestle with hard physics…..really…..I sympathise with Thomas Dolby…..SHE BLINED ME WITH SCIENCE!

@maggietkat
Well done Terrence with Bohemian Gravity! I thought about gravity and felt that force pull me into a comfy chair. So, what else could force me? Yes, songs will force me into song and toe tapping. My link is the power of music to force Us into singing. Here is Aretha Franklin singiNg “Respect”.  Sock it to me.

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Terence did win wiv Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (Tel note from Lexie: not quite but anyway it's close enough) . We were finking about Queens and we did choose Queen Latifah singing song from our favourite moosical Chicago ‘When You Good To Mama'.

@djladylexie
Pfft science, chemistry .... next it will be maths! Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. ... So, for any circle, dividing its circumference by its diameter will give you the exact same number: 3.14159…or pi. Pi is also an irrational number, which means that its value cannot be expressed exactly as a simple fraction *boffin*. Here be a song about Pi from Kate Bush which is an obsession of her dad.

An da winner ............ as chosened by Tel ..................... dus be ..............................  Clapton! Nice one CT! So you dus be choosin next week me pal.

Ere wot me Tel said: Fanks for yor linkies pals tho it be hard judging ( on an empty tum ). I gonna go wiv linky 2 wot be Thomas Dolby and "She Blinded Me With Science".

Lexie's Chain: The Seven Hundred and Seventy Eighth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 378 of Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Maggie wiph Moles Are A Unit. Let's see what we got dis week:

@claptonterrier
Hello Miss Lexie….last week our winner was a very niche song about the mole and its place in Chemistry….I cant help feeling we need a bit more of an education about Chemistry before we embark on these specialists areas and so this week my linky is “Meet the elements” by They Might Be Giants…..which tells us the very useful fact that elephants are made of elements

@terenceterrier
Larst week Miss Maggie winned wiv " A Mole is a Unit". Yoo rilly opened a big can o' worms there cos mum in da dim distant past studied da sciences. I rummage abowt in her old books in find da well pawed ones on theoretical pfizziks wot cover relativity theory n fings like dat. So I keeps wiv dis newly discovered moosical genre n give yoo all A Capella Science and " Bohemian Gravity" wot be abowt Queen-tum Physics.

@djladylexie
Well done Maggie! Well hmmmmm let me fink. Moles are a unit! Phew I never knowed it. Bet you didn't know that Mole is also a sauce! It's got fruit, pepper, cinamom and cumin in it. Oh an chilli peppers. You can use yellow, green or red chill peppers but you has to be careful wiph red hot chilli peppers. Oh, I feel a link comin on! I give you The Red Hot Chilli Peppers an The Zephyr Song.

@limeoscar
Well done that Maggiekat with the Mole of chemistry fame.  It did remind hoomum of her days in the chemistry lab at college . . . probably more a hotbed of chemistry of a different kind!  Therefore we gives you Diana Ross singing about a Chain Reaction on a whole other level!  So this does be our linky fur #lexieschain . . . see what we did there?

An da winner ............ as chosened by Maggie ..................... dus be ..............................  Terence! Nice one Tel! So you dus be choosin next week me pal.

Ere wot me Maggie said: I apologize for a mole song, but Mom is a retired chemist and can't help the puns. Well done all! What amazing and clever links! Even tough Queen was recently chosen, I have to proclaim the winner, "Bohemian Gravity" by A Capella Science.
