Lexie's Chain: The Two Hundred and Sixty Fifth Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 265 of #lexieschain. Last week the winner was Maggie wiv Ry Cooder and Get Rhythm. Let's see wots we got this week.

@MaggieTKat won last week's chain with Ry Cooder and "Get Rhythm". As Maggie said Ry wrote the soundtrack for Paris Texas which starred Harry Dean Stanton. Our link this week is from another film starring Stanton - "Pretty in Pink" by The Psychedelic Furs.

hello Miss Lexie…last week Miss Maggie chose a song by Ry Cooder…that made us think of the book Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger….there have been many songs inspired by that book and the one we have chosen is We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel which mentions the title of the book in one of the early verses…listen closely! Woof.

Well done Maggie, well done. When I heard the winning tune there was only one way for me to go.... I Got Rhythm!

Last weeks winner was Ry Cooder and Get Rhythm. Now straight away mum found herself fixed on the word Rhythm and making the connection with Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings. Bill Wyman was the bass player with the Rolling Stones so really it has to be a Stones song. Both hoomans have loved one song in particular since they met nearly 25 years ago so it can only be Angie.

Larst week pal Maggie winned wiv da linky “Get Rhythm” by Ry Cooder. I fink once yoo gots rhythm yoo should be all set up to have a dance. So my linky dis week be a live vershun wiv Tina Turner n David Bowie wot combines two songs wiv da same title of “Let’s Dance” *bops off round da room*.

Last week the winning song was called "Get Rhythm". If you've got rhythm then you can dance and sometimes you've just got to dance, even if you're on your own...

So a dat Maggie had a great winning linky last with week Ry Cooder's 'Get Rythym. And we dus love dat Jazzy stuff but wot we thort of wos if humans had rhythm, dey could boogie! So our linky dus be simple but it all about da Boogie so dat our linky da Jackson's Blame It On The Boogie. I just want, I just want to celebrate...

Well done Maggie. We pick this to honour the death of Father Jack from Father Ted  ... Gurls! Drink!

Ry Cooder Get Rhythm. Well that chap  Ry, was a clever man but one thing I didnt know was the poor chap accidental poked his eye out with a knife when he was a lad. So he has a glass eye! So my linky is "Glass eye" singing Christine . 1989

Rhythm is handy for dancin and that.so we goin wiv a great dance song Rhythm Is A Dancer

An da winner as choosed by Maggie dus be ......................... Pepper n Spot!! Yay dat is first go too! Amazin! You choosin next week me pals.

Ere wot Maggie said: What a wonderful selection of tuneage! I chose Glass Eye singing "Christine". I didn't realize Cooder had a glass eye!
