Lexie's Chain: The Three Hundred and Seventy Third Chain

Hello pals. Welcome to week 373 of Lexie's Chain. Last week da winner was Oscar wiph Layla an Eric Clapton. Let's see what we got dis week:

@maggietkat
Well done Oscar with the acoustic version of Clapton's Layla. I thought about unplugged versions and loving something dearly.  My hometown is the best place ever! Here is a song about a hometown, John Mellencamp with “SmallTown”.

@claptonterrier
last week our winner was Layla by Eric Clapton…of course, the song was famously first recorded by Mr Clapton as part of his anonymous years as part of Derek & The Dominoes…and so this week our linky is another song by a band of famous musicians hiding their lights under a bushel….we have End of The Line by the Travelling WIlburys…or George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty as they are better known.

@cloonfourmegan
Last week Oscar did win wiv Eric Clapton and Layla. Now many years ago mum was on holiday in Antigua and guess who she saw in a bar. Oh yes Mr Slow Hand himself! This song was playing a lot when she was there and always reminds her of her Caribbean holiday.

@skye613
So the winning tune talks of unrequited love starting with a 12th-century poem and ending with Pattie Boyd. We continue with this sad theme and its bluesy sound. Linky this week " I Can't Make You Love Me " Enjoy Pals!

@terenceterrier
Well done Oscar on winning wiv da linky "Layla" by Eric Clapton. He  woz ranked second in da Rolling Stone magazine list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of all Time". Numba 1 on dat list woz Jimi Hendrix. So I gonna use "Hey Joe" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience as my linky.

@djladylexie
Well done me pal! Love EC! Layla was first performed by Derek and the Dominos. Maybe they loved a game of dominos because dominos are black wooden blocks that have little white spots on them from 0-6. These are called pips. Gladys Knight probably enjoyed a game of dominos too after a good old sing song wiv her backing singers- The Pips.
